The 2010-11 Demographics of New York City’s English Language Learners

This report is provided each year in response to requests from the advocacy community and the public for demographic information on English Language Learners (ELLs) in New York City public schools. The report helps educators and administrators understand more deeply the diversity among ELLs and the complexity of the issues they face. Beyond ELL and immigrant status, the report also provides information about a variety of ELL sub-populations and the dynamic nature of the ELL population.  Read the full report HERE.
